Solution
For this site two separate distinct designs were created to distinguish between the e-commerce and information sections of the site.
The information site was designed so the whole page would always be in view at a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768. Where necessary only the central content section scrolls, allowing the navigation links to remain visible at all time.
Harrisons requested that in certain places of the site, flash was to be used to make those sections stand out. In order to provide this and still allow pages linked by flash to be accessed by site vistors without flash, an innovative overlay method was used whereby the flash (including a link to the page) sits over the top of an image link to the same page.
The online store has a custom shopping cart integrated with a popular payment gateway. If quantities of certain products is exceeded, online payment is prevented as the customer must contact Harrisons External Display Systems directly.
