Business Link funding for e-commerce website solutions

Business & Enterprise North East, part of Business Link, have recently announced new funding services to help companies and individuals start, grow and succeed in business. It targets areas of market failure to help businesses with common problems such as starting or growing a business, innovation and finance.  One of the objectives of the funding program is to help companies develop an e-marketing and/or e-commerce capability around website development.

  • For Start-up companies, 6 months before and 6 months after the business commences trading, up to 70% funding is available. A maximum contribution of £8000 is available from Business Link. Customers should either have a written business plan or be able to explain their plans for the business. Therefore a formally written business plan is not required.

  • For new companies embarking on a high growth business strategy with an ambition to achieve £500k plus turnover within 3 years, up to 70% funding is available with a maximum investment of £45000. Again a formally written business plan is not required.

  • Support for Innovation Advice and Guidance for small to medium existing enterprises is designed to help companies develop e-marketing and/or e-commerce capabilities. The objective is to create increased sales of products and/or services via the internet and online marketing. Up to 50% funding with a maximum contribution of £19500 is available from Business Link.
